How to adopt your new best friend

Tail Tracker has partnered with various shelters to act as a single platform where all pets looking for homes have a profile, to make your search for your perfect pet seamless. Use the optional filters to narrow your search to meet your criteria and once you have found the perfect pet, make contact with the shelter to arrange the rest.

Find your match

Use our optional filters to narrow your search.

Contact & meet

Once you have found a pet that meets your criteria, make contact with the relevant shelter to arrange to meet your future forever friend.

Complete paperwork

Each shelter has its own processes and they will guide you on how to adopt your forever friend.

Take them home

When you have completed all the processes that the specific shelter requires, you can arrange with the shelter to take your pet home and make them a part of your family.

Not ready to adopt? You might want to volunteer.

If you’re not quite ready to adopt a forever friend, contact any of the shelters and ask if there is a way you can get involved, whether it be as a volunteer or by providing much needed donations.

Many shelters are also in need of families who are willing and able to foster animals that are not coping well at the shelters. Please make enquiries with the various shelters if you are interested in assisting with fostering an animal.
